A. Appointment of a Sole Arbitrator: 01

Submission of the Request for Arbitration and Advance of the Arbitration Cost
Prepare the Request for Arbitration and submit to the Secretariat
Advance the arbitration costs at the time of the submission of the Request; 02

Completion of the Secretariat's receipt of the Request for Arbitration
Completion of the Secretariat's final receipt after the completion of the submission of the Request for Arbitration and the advance of the arbitration costs; 03

Appointment of a sole arbitrator after mutual discussions
The parties appoint a sole arbitrator after mutual discussions. In case of failure to appoint the sole arbitrator, the Secretariat appoints the sole arbitrator.; Where there is an arbitration agreement and a dispute arises, you may request the Asia-Pacific Maritime Arbitration Center for arbitration. In case of request, you need to submit the Request for Arbitration and advance the arbitration cost. Once it is received by the Secretariat, the parties shall agree to appoint a sole arbitrator. If not, the Secretariat will appoint the sole arbitrator.

B. Appointment of Three Arbitrators: 01

Completion of the Secretariat's receipt of the Request for Arbitration
Completion of the Secretariat's final receipt after the completion of the submission of the Request for Arbitration and the advance of the arbitration costs; 02

The Claimant and the Respondent each appoint an arbitrator
The Claimant and the Respondent each appoint an arbitrator with the given timeline; 03

Appoint the third arbitrator to act as the chairperson
The appointed two arbitrators appoint the third arbitrator. In case of failure to appoint the third arbitrator, the Secretariat appoints the third arbitrator.; Where the parties agree to resolve the dispute by three arbitrators, the Claimant shall appoint an arbitrator within the given timeline under the Request for Arbitration or the Secretariat and the Respondent shall appoint an arbitrator within the given timeline under the Request for Arbitration or the Secretariat. The two appointed arbitrators shall agree to appoint the third arbitrator to act as the chairperson. In case of failure to appoint the third arbitrator, the Secretariat appoints the third arbitrator.
